Excursion about Donetsk

This excursion will give you a chance to see how much the appearance of Donetsk city has changed for the last years. The city became stylish and modern, got features of a European megalopolis, though not so long ago it was called "All-Union Stokehold”. The trade and business centres, hotels are built, the building of the airport is being reconstructed, the cathedrals are being built, much attention is given to the landscape design. The city is adorned by new fountains, parks and squares. Donetsk again changes into a city of million roses!

While going on this excursion you will get to know how the city lives and what new and interesting things has appeared here.


A group gathers at the monument to S.Bubka. The landmark is the Regional Sport Complex "Olimpiyskyi”.

Preface excursion. Review acquaintance with the sights of the downtown of Donetsk. Transfer to Chelyuskintsev street.

Acquaintance with the symbol of Donbass – Mertsalov’s Palm as well as with the Donbass Arena Stadium and its landscape Park. Transfer from Mira avenue to Artema street.

A walk about the Park of Forged Figures, story about the appearance of forged masterpieces in the city as well as the gifts of twin-cities – the Bakhmut Bell and the Tsar-Cannon.

A walk along Pushkin boulevard. Along the central alley you will see remarkable and unique sculpt compositions "Lukomorie”, "Ukrainian step”, compositions embodied regional main industrial branches, forged fountain "Donbass Rivers”. Landscape design of the Park will amuse you greatly by its bright colours and flower fragrance.

Review of: the Donetsk National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after A.Solovyanenko, the Donetsk National Academic Ukrainian Musical-Dramatic Theatre,the Donbass Palace Hotel and others.
